Important note for all drivers!
Environmental badge obligatory for green zones in Germany also for foreigners!
Vehicles without environmental badge may not pass through the green zone, otherwise a penalty of 40,00 € and a penalty point in Flensburg impend, even if the vehicle would be allowed to pass through the zone based on its emission value. This is also valid for all vehicles registered in foreign countries, like cars, trucks, and busses, as well as for business travellers and for tourists.
For this reason it is recommended that all drivers to inform themselves about the environmental badges, and to purchase it on time.

Events:

Frankfurt offers its visitors many interesting events - whether traditional street festivals or cultural highlights, such as the Museumsuferfest (museum promenade festival), the Wolkenkratzerfest (skyscraper festival) or the Dippemess (festival of stoneware), which takes place every year in spring and autumn. A foretaste of the wide diversity of Frankfurt is provided by the colourful Parade der Kulturen (cultural parade), in which some 2,000 people of various origins take part every year.
